The Family Child Care program provides training and oversight to those spouses who qualify to provide child care in their base home. Providers can care for up to six children, including their own. Homes are inspected at least monthly to ensure high quality care is always available.
The FCC program has an extensive lending library with safety equipment, toys, books, equipment, and furniture for licensed providers. The lending library allows providers to begin operations of their business with minimal start up costs.
Family child care providers also provide extended duty care for those needing care during nontraditional hours such as evening, weekends, or Holidays.
