The 27th Special Operations Force Support Readiness section was recently awarded AFSOC Readiness section of the year for 2007. They are responsible for training and equipping the entire squadron with the knowledge, tools, and information to serve their country in deployed areas across the world. Since 2003, team Cannon has deployed to, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Iraq.
The readiness team is fully responsible for all of the success and accolades the teams receive downrange. They arrive in the AOR well trained, motivated, and eager to accomplish the mission whether it is for 90, 120, 179, or 365 days. They also have the responsibility to manage the Mortuary Affairs Program. This duty is performed with respect, dignity and extreme sensitivity.
